Wow… let me just say the homebrew console dev community as a whole, are one of the brightest groups of people I’ve ever ran into. Ask a question and you get an answer worth more than your question =)
Well let me not rant on about how cool these guys are, but spit out the daily dwindle of what consists of programming on the PSP.
So I got off to an early start, around 4am, where I ventured into the realm of low level console development. I chose the path of least resistence, as per usual, the hard way. Regarding myself as a person who always takes the hard way, I gain a large amount of pride and self-respect. I need it, its for that complex I have ;)
Arriving at (0,0), I opened up vim & pspsdk docs and ran! Damn it, I was telling myself. I didn’t get far at first, so I reached the conclusion, sample code and lots of it. So I read through tons of code, finding a uniform style to stitch something together with. In return, I gained some knowledge I didn’t intend to.
The outcome: beginnings of my very first engine.
Features:
Double Buffering, PNG Rendering, Rectangle Drawing, Control Event Handler.
Thats all for now.
